With more patients complaining and clinicians being sued for medical negligence or malpractice, record keeping is pivotal and central to our clinical practice. 

 

What will I learn?

The principles of good record keeping and some of the common pitfalls in poor record keeping, a greater awareness of the legal principles relating to the Data Protection Act, clarification on the professional requirements of record keeping and the action that professional regulators or legal bodies may take in the event of a complaint, and the legal and professional issues relating to documentation and record keeping.
