Paddings & Silicones Workshop

Description: 

This half-day practical and hand-on workshop focuses on the effective management of podiatric patients using traditional and innovative padding & deflective techniques. Different styles of paddings and silicones are covered for both acute and chronic presentations. Small group sizes allows for lots of individual practice, clinical scenarios and case studies. 

 

What will I learn?

• A greater familiarity with the different types of paddings, silicones and materials available

• How to best use these to deflect pressure

• Enhanced techniques to cushion the foot and support the musculoskeletal structures

• How to make different pads, supports, deflective devices and props

• Plenty of practical hands-on opportunities, hints & tips
