This intensive one-day theoretical and practical masterclass focuses on building your knowledge, skills and confidence in being able to undertake a biomechanical assessment, thereby recognizing and understanding the pathomechanical presentations especially within the foot and ankle complex. In small friendly groups, you will learn different biomechanical tests and clinical observations which can be applied immediately into your clinical practice - get the confidence to boost your income and scope of practice. 

 

What will I learn?

• The approaches to biomechanical assessments

• The different aspects of a biomechanical assessment including history taking and footwear examination

• How to recognise biomechanical complaints and their potential underlying causes

• A greater understanding of the different biomechanical complaints routinely seen in clinic

• Techniques for assessing the lower limb

• Weight-bearing and non weight-bearing assessments of the lower limb and musculoskeletal system

• Different tests and clinical observations

• Greater appreciation of the different assessment & treatment techniques

• How to assess limb length 

• Different treatment approaches to commonly presenting conditions including metatarsalgia, heel pain, plantar fasciitis, morton's neuroma and HAV amongst many others...
